My vaginal health is affecting my mental health - where can I find additional support?

First and foremost: you are not alone.

We understand that vaginal health issues can sometimes be isolating, embarrassing, or even debilitating. Research has shown that physical well-being can influence psychological well-being — meaning vaginal health is mental health. It's frustrating that there aren't better answers, better treatments, and better tools — and that's exactly why we started Evvy. Because we all deserve effective and empathetic vaginal healthcare.

In the meantime, having access to peer communities and professionals is crucial for breaking down the stigma surrounding vaginal, sexual, and reproductive health. Here are some resources for additional support:

Crisis Textline: Text HOME to 741741 to connect with a Crisis Counselor. Free 24/7 support. Whilst Crisis can talk to female health concerns, the textline is intended to address any form of crisis and is not health-specific.

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.

Poppy Seed Health: On-demand 24/7 emotional and mental health support for pregnancy, postpartum miscarriage, and loss.

Circles: Professionally facilitated online support groups to connect people experiencing similar life challenges.

Groups at Tia: Groups are an 8-week series designed to drive connection with other women facing similar challenges or circumstance and provide support, education, and tools to process emotions and feel belonging and encouragement.

Regain: An online relationship therapy platform for individuals or couples seeking therapy for relationship or marital issues.

The Center for Mental & Sexual Health: Online Therapy for individuals and couples, provided by sexual health focused counselors.

Therapy for Black Girls: An online space dedicated to encouraging the mental wellness of Black women and girls.

LunaJoy: Holistic women’s mental health therapy, counseling, and medication management for every phase of life.
