What to do if you get your period while on treatment

Updated over a year ago

This article discusses periods during an Evvy Clinical Care treatment program - if you're looking for information on your period and taking an Evvy test, please see this article!

If you anticipate getting a period during your treatment, please log a period in your Treatment Calendar to automatically update your program based on your period dates. For antibiotics, please time your start date so that your full dose of antibiotics isn't interrupted by your period. If you have an irregular period or occasional spotting and start bleeding in the middle of your antibiotics, please finish the course to avoid antibiotic resistance and maximize efficacy.

For boric acid or probiotic vaginal suppositories, please pause those treatments during your period and resume once it's done. For soothing ointments, please continue using that during your period as it's applied on your labia, not inside your vagina.
